Bhimbedtka is the biggest repository of prehistoric art in India. The earliest known human life is said to have taken shelter under the rocks of Bhimbedtka. Man adorned his rock-shelter with colour depicting his various emotions. Numerous cave-paintings have been preserved in these natural shelters. It has been classified as a world-heritage.
The stupa at Sanchi once a seat of Buddhist learning and pilgrimage stands as a memento to the religious fervour of Ashoka the Great.

The creative urge in man gives birth to art and the aesthetic urge adds beauty to it .The exotic temples of Khajuraho stand as masterpieces of beauty etched in stone. Moments of love, passion, feasting, divinity have been arrested in the sensitive chisels of master craftsmen.
