aid for the first ever - Inaugural year 1979. the
manuscripts of the first literary work of the writers
of the state are invited and the selected ones are
provided with financial aid for publication. To save
the contemporary and potential writers of the state
from financial obstacles in publishing their first
literary work and providing ample opportunities to
creativity, is the prime
objective of this endeavor.

'Sakshatkar' is a literary magazine of high progressive
values of
 which 294 issues have been published till
now . Through poem, story , drama, reminiscence, fine
essay, criticism and other disciplines of literature,
'sakshatkar' is able to record the creativity of its
time and this is the reason that it has gained reputation
not only in the state but countrywide. With leading
writers 'sakshatkar' is offering literary platform
to budding talent of the country . In all the issues
of 'Sakshatkar' attention has been paid frequently
to international creativity along with Indian languages.

poetry and contemporary marathi literature based special
editions are main issues .
